1) Is this Gambling?

2) Are you regulated by the Gambling Commission?

No. True Prize Competitions are not regulated by the Gambling Commission.


3) Can charities or clubs have access to the data?

GDPR forbids this type of data sharing. However, non personally identifying, aggregated, audited information about each beneficiaries player pool is provided to ensure complete transparency about each beneficiaries fund raising.


4) Can gift aid be applied to funds raised?

Not yet, but we are working on it with our legal team.


5) How often are fund distributions made?

SkillBaller beneficiaries standard internal player audit and therefore payout frequency, is annual, with all funds distributed in July each year. However, as beneficiaries reach pre-determined fund raising thresholds, it becomes economical to increase the payout frequency to as often as monthly for the most effective fundraisers. Above 10k a month of funds raised is distributed quarterly and above 25k a month is distributed monthly.


6) Can non charities apply - eg village sports clubs, pub football teams?

Any Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC's), as defined by HMRC can raise funds with SkillBaller.


7)How is the winner decided and is there a winner every week or can jackpots roll over?

There is a winner every week, determined to be the closest to the triangulated position of the guesses of our 3 judges. There are no rollovers.


8) Are funds for distribution secure?

Yes. Funds for distribution held on behalf of endorsing clubs are held in a segregated client account.


9) What do we need to do to participate?

To apply to raise funds via Skillballer, you must first complete a 2 minute application here, followed by a telephone call to ensure your organisation meets the charitable or CASC requirements. Upon successful application, each charity and CASC will be added as a beneficiary to our database and given a unique promotional link and a shortcode to use in marketing material. Upon the launch of SkillBaller for Charities in September 2020, each participating charity will be notified so that they can begin their promotional efforts to ensure they lock as many of their donors to their cause before competiting charities.


10) How do charities and CASC's promote SkillBaller?

The charity specific promotional link and shortcode tracks all players who choose your charity as the beneficiary. You can promote to your donors old and new via email, social media, mailouts or any other media you wish to attract players for your cause., provided the promotional material does not promise that players will win or is outside the core ethos of SkillBaller LTD, including but not limited too black hat promotional methods, link cloaking, browser hijacking, pornography, incitement to crime or violence, abusive, hateful, sexist, racist or extremist content of any kind. Breaching these guidelines could lead to suspension and banning from the SkillBaller platform.
